# Humanizing Futurist Interiors The Euromobil IT-IS Kitchen Makes Cutting-Edge Cozy By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-06-29 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/euromobil-it-is-kitchen References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2011/06/27/it-is-kitchen-by-simone-micheli-for-euromobil/) & [gruppoeuromobil](http://www.gruppoeuromobil.com/euromobil/cucine.php) Technology can be trusted to enhance the interactive quality of appliances and living spaces, but it's arrangements like the Euromobil IT-IS Kitchen that promise not to create a total disconnect. The comfort of home can be at risk when furnishings begin to take stark and streamlined forms. One's initial observations of these interior designs by Simone Micheli may serve up a surprising impression of TRON-inspired systems, but the bright blue glow beneath the island counter exists primarily to unite the space's separate elements between the open-plan food preparation area and the adjacent living room. A close look at the Euromobil IT-IS Kitchen elegantly reveals an attention to detail, between the soft modular carpeting, the S-shaped countertop, the sleek cord lacquer cupboards and the stainless steel appliances. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 43% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Interactive Appliances:** There is an opportunity to create appliances that enhance the interactive quality of everyday tasks, while maintaining a sense of comfort and coziness in the home. - **Integrated Living Spaces:** Designing living spaces that seamlessly integrate different areas, such as open-plan kitchens and adjacent living rooms, can create a more cohesive and connected environment. - **Attention to Detail:** Focusing on the smallest details in interior design, such as modular carpeting, sleek countertops, lacquer cupboards, and stainless steel appliances, can elevate the overall aesthetic and user experience. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Appliance:** The home appliance industry can explore new ways to incorporate interactive features into their products, without sacrificing comfort and coziness. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can embrace the concept of integrated living spaces, creating innovative designs that seamlessly connect different areas of the home. - **Luxury Kitchen:** The luxury kitchen industry can focus on attention to detail, offering high-quality materials and finishes that enhance the overall aesthetic and functionality of the space. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Freestanding Experimental Kitchens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/experimental-kitchens.md) - [Sculptural Living Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cromatica.md) - [Ultra-Modern Exterior Kitchen Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atria-outdoor-kitchen-system.md) - [Motorized Storage Kitchen Islands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/osta-insel-plus-kitchen-island.md) - [Compact Kitchen Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-kitchen-furniture.md) - [Tech-Informed Modular Kitchens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rekook.md) - [AI-Generated Kitchen Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaudiinspired.md) - [Technological Kitchen Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-coit.md) - [AI-Powered Kitchen Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tkc-kitchens.md)
