Laura Siegel's Toronto Fashion Week set featured ethical fabrics that distinguished her pieces from the rest. The gray-toned [heavy knits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kerisma-knits) are memorable for several reasons, inclusive of their ability to produce a highly sought-after [layered fall look](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/auteur-studios-fall-2025). Above all however, is the ancestral origins of her collection.

Siegel has been applauded for her incorporation of local handmade fabrics and authentic production methods. Strung along the models' figures were textiles dyed in India and pieces knitted in Bolivia. The eclectic mixing process was inspired by Siegel's respect for artisan practices and hand-tailored implements.

Siegel's presentation has been well received and she has been continuously applauded for her ability to assemble various ethical fabrics. Topped off with combat boots and dangerously smokey eyes, the show delivered a welcomed dose of edge.
