They make gee-tars and mandolins. Moollon is about as far from Nashville as you can get, both in terms of distance (they are in Seoul) and in guitar design. Moollon makes axes. The creations are custom works for a variety of players. Exotic woods are used for some guitars, but etching dragons, carp, wings and lotus flowers are my favorites. **Implications** - These guitars allow a wide range of consumers to live out the dream of being famous rock star. Contemporary customers experience high stress levels due to work and family; therefore, companies that offer products allowing individuals to mentally escape these confines will fare well in today's busy society. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 78% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Customization](https://www.trendhunter.com/customization) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Customized Musical Instruments:** Moollon's custom works for a variety of players offers an opportunity for disruptive innovation in personalized instrument design and production. - **Intricate Metallic Motifs:** Incorporating intricate metallic motifs like dragons, carp, wings, and lotus flowers in musical instrument design presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in artistic design integration. - **International Niche Production:** Moollon's niche production of exotic and intricately designed guitars in Seoul opens up an opportunity for disruptive innovation in international music instrument production and marketing. ### Where This Applies - **Musical Instruments:** The customizable and intricately designed guitars produced by Moollon offer an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the musical instrument industry. - **Personalized Products:** Moollon's custom works present an opportunity for disruptive innovation in personalized product design and production for companies offering products allowing individuals to mentally escape the confines of busy society. - **Art and Design:** Incorporating intricate metallic motifs in instrument design presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the integration of artistic design in product development from the art and design industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Fashion-Forward Guitar Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gibson-and-marc-jacobs.md) - [Children-Forward Guitar Companies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smallscale-electric-guitars.md) - [Historically Significant Guitar Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/les-paul-custom-70s.md) - [Intricate Anniversary-Celebrating Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/limited-edition-guitar.md) - [Modern Guitar Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gibsons-mod-collection.md) - [Modern Guitar Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-guitar1.md) - [Shreddable Steampunk Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steampunk-guitar.md) - [Reverent Rosewood Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rosewood-guitar.md) - [Anniversary-Celebrating Guitar Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/music-city-special.md)
