The Essential Waitrose range recently relaunched with 200 new product lines and a shift to sustainable packaging. Aiming to transition to packaging that is "widely recyclable, reusable or home compostable by 2023," the UK-based retailer addresses growing consumer desires for affordable private label products that are also high in quality and environmentally conscious.
Waitrose is committed to reduce Essential Waitrose packaging by 15% with eco packaging and clean ingredients featured across the majority of products.
“Our aim is to offer the highest welfare, quality and value products, which we know our customers expect. Supporting our farmers and suppliers remains a key priority and with the new design we hope our customers will be even more drawn to the range and the new products within it," said Essential Waitrose brand manager Kate Gibbs.
