The Johnsons set out to build their own home in order to find a new way to pay homage to their aboriginal roots and honor their local land. This [tiny home](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nordic-spruce-homesteader) certainly does that. It has an exterior construction that uses [pine wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-spruce) that is both durable and pleasingly rustic to the eye. The dwelling is kept insulated thanks to the use of high-tech spray foam insulation. The Esk'et Tiny Home is a fine example of creating a living space that well and truly lives up to your personal philosophy of life, while maintaining a non-invasive presence in the surrounding environment. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.5/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 92% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) > [Eco Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/ecoarchitecture) ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Spacious Cottage-Like Luxe Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-sky.md) - [Cottage-Inspired Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rover-tiny-homes-tulameen.md) - [National Park-Inspired Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basecamp-tiny-house.md) - [Eco‑tiny Sanctuarys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tign-tiny-homes.md) - [Ethereal Feminine Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/botanical-hut-tiny-house.md) - [Wagon-Inspired Compact Rustic Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gypsy.md) - [Canadian Winter-Ready Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thuya-tiny-house.md) - [Double-Axle Trailer TIny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eucalyptus.md) - [Space-Saving Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/levi-kelly.md)
