As I clicked through ‘Escale’ in Numero Magazine, I couldn’t help but think that the lead image looks like a contemporary adaptation of the garb worn by an 18th-century British captain. You know, something Commodore Norrington from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ would wear if he were a woman in the present day.

‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ references aside, ‘Escale’ in Numero Magazine is a study in how to [mix bright colors and patterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maison-amorys-gingham-edit) beautifully. Horst Diekgerdes photographs Monika Jagaciak in [luxurious separates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/auteur-studios-latest-summer-edit) from Miu Miu, Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel. The shoot was styled by Samuel François.
