The mouse maintains an almost [joystick-like design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertical-mouse-concept) that is inspired by the way that we hold [writing utensils](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handwriting-tool) to accommodate a more organic feel in the hand when being used. This puts the hand into a more natural position when working on a computer and will accommodate the needs of creative professionals who spend most of their time in a digital design program. The Ergonomic Mouse concept makes use of [multiple fingers when being used](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-ring-mouse), which could help to further increase dexterity and prevent too much stress from being placed on certain parts of the hand. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 96% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Ergonomic Mouse Design:** There is a need for more ergonomic designs of computer peripherals like mice to increase comfort and prevent injuries. - **Multi-finger Mouse Control:** The use of multiple fingers on a mouse can increase dexterity and prevent stress-related injuries. - **Writing Utensil-inspired Designs:** Drawing inspiration from everyday objects like writing utensils can lead to innovative and more comfortable computer peripherals. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Computer Peripherals:** Companies designing computer peripherals can incorporate ergonomic and multi-finger designs in their products to increase customer satisfaction and marketability. - **Creative Professionals:** The ergonomic and multi-finger design of mice can be useful for creative professionals who spend long hours working on digital design programs, preventing injuries and increasing efficiency. - **Ergonomic Equipment Manufacturing:** There are opportunities for manufacturing companies to create and distribute more ergonomic computer peripherals that prioritize comfort and health in the workplace. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Contoured Comfort Mouse Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conceptual-ergonomic-mouse.md) - [Health-Conscious Mouse Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ergo-ergonomic-mouse-concept.md) - [Ergonomic Digital Creative Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microsoft-palm-mouse.md) - [Ergonomic Swiveling Base Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/braun-ergonomic-mouse.md) - [Custom Calibration Computer Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ergonomic-computer-mouse.md) - [Sculpted PC Peripheral Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-magic-mushroom-mouse.md) - [Pocket-Sized Ergonomic Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/horizontal-mouse.md) - [3D-Printed Mesh Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/squishy-mouse.md) - [Custom Ergonomics Computer Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/formify-mouse.md)
