# Shallow Gasket-Mounted Keyboards Epomaker's 'Lite' Keyboard Features Patented Technology By Colin Smith | Published 2022-06-30 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/epomaker-lite References: [epomaker](https://epomaker.com/pages/epomaker-lite) & [kickstarter](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/epomaker/epomaker-lite-60-gasket-mount-aluminum-mechanical-keyboard?ref=csldz8) Epomaker, the online retail store and keyboard community, announced the 'Epomaker Lite,' a [60% form factor keyboard](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/v60-pro-deluxe-edition) with a unique gasket design. The Epomaker Lite includes what Epomaker refers to as a shallow gasket mount design, which the company patented for use in keyboards. This proprietary design allows for the gasket to have a slight elastic texture while still feeling firm and stable. This means when users press down the keys completely, they will not feel a solid floor, but rather a tension that increases with pressure. Epomaker claims that this keyboard delivers a "completely unique tactile sensation" on its marketing page. Aside from this unique design, the Epomaker Lite features [hot-swappable switches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skiller-sgk50-s4-gen-2), [changeable keycaps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glorious), dedicated companion software, and north-facing RGB LEDs for each individual key.
