Unlike most residences that have fences to section off their land from their neighbors properties, this house instead has a [masonry wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sobremesa-house) that covers the front of the home. The interior of the entertainment-friendly home is very modern, with the central area being the large open-concept living room that also contains the kitchen. This house perfectly blends modern design with outdoor elements, as the living room looks out into the backyard with a [retractable window](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modal-home) that takes the place of the back wall -- making this the perfect house to entertain and also enjoy the warm Texas weather. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.8/10 - Popularity: 74% | Activity: 63% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Entertainment-friendly Homes:** Homes designed for entertainment purposes by merging modern design with outdoor elements. - **Open-concept Living:** Homes with a central space that combines the living room and kitchen. - **Modern Masonry Walls:** Homes using a masonry wall in place of a traditional fence. ### Where This Applies - **Real Estate:** Real estate industry professionals can explore innovative ways to create entertainment-friendly homes. - **Construction:** Construction companies can integrate modern masonry walls and open-concept living spaces in their building designs. - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can offer furniture and decoration ideas to complement entertainment-friendly home interiors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Curvaceous Privacy Wall Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kwk-promes-open-house.md) - [Privacy Enhanced Minimal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-open-house-1.md) - [High Concrete Walled Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cesar-mancillas.md) - [Modern Dark Tonal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/texas-residence.md) - [Discreet Modern Brazil Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jf-residence.md) - [Tree-Surrounding Contemporary Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/live-oak-ride-residence.md) - [Compact Urban Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stealth-house.md) - [Contemporary Cantilevered Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/westview-residence.md) - [Curved Brick Entertaining Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sobremesa-house.md)
