Made for the Italian manufacturer [Acerbis](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/florian), these entertainment units make themselves the focus of a living room instead of what usually is the focus of most living rooms across the world -- the TV. The dark wood and cream-colored units have sliding panels or screens that allow the homeowner to [hide their TV in plain sight](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/obelisk-3). The entertainment units contain room for [audio-video equipment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eversolo-se100-speakers) and can hide those along with the TV. These units are perfect for creating an aesthetically pleasing living room that can function as an escape from technology, while also ensuring easy access to technology if need be. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.5/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 70% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Hideaway Entertainment Units:** Homeowners are looking for unique and elegant furnishings that can hide their TV screens. - **Multi-functional Furniture:** Furniture that can provide multiple functions such as hiding technology is becoming more popular in the home decor market. - **Minimalist Living:** Homeowners are moving towards minimalist living and design, which includes furniture that can hide technology and provide an aesthetically pleasing living space. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Furniture:** The home furniture industry has potential for innovation in multi-functional furniture that can provide both elegance and functionality in the modern home. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can offer their clients unique solutions for creating a minimalist living space with multi-functional furniture that fits their personal style. - **Home Technology:** The home technology industry has potential to develop products that can easily integrate into multi-functional furniture, providing both convenience and a sleek look in the modern home. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Movable Room Divider TVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trolley-tv.md) - [Space-Dividing Rolling TVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vifa-skyline.md) - [Disappearing Display TV Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/awol-vision-vanish-laser-tv.md) - [Retractable Screen TV Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-giro.md) - [Illusory Artwork-Displaying TVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hisense-canvastv.md) - [Moveable Entertainment Centers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-stanbyme.md) - [Sculptural Folding TVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/c-seed-n1.md) - [Spaceship-Like Entertainment Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/odyssey-entertainment-system.md) - [Artful Flush-Mount TVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/c1-canvas-art-tv.md)
