The ENSEMBLE Phone may look like it was inspired by [men's electric razors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc5) by the looks of its [sleek and modern aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-phone-concept), yet it was actually inspired by something more organic and natural: sensations. Its futuristic metal skin protects its vegetal core that dispatches a 'digital sap,' as the designer puts it.

Conceived by France-based designer Jerome Olivet, the ENSEMBLE Phone encourages an intimacy between the device and its user. The ENSEMBLE Phone features voice-control technology, information is displayed on a [micro touchscreen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/duo-phone) and its ergonomic shape encourages a unique tactile experience as well.

Crafted out of plastic, the ENSEMBLE Phone "is not an inert object placed on your cheek, but a succession of colored skins, sensitive materials that open to spread the messages," according to Olivet.
