Jiang Qian created an incredibly innovative, eco-friendly way to [recharge your batteries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linogy) using kinetic energy. By tossing, rolling or passing the ball around, the kinetic charger rejuices batteries by converting the energy produced while playing into electricity. Qian, a Shanghai-based designer, was able to design the gadget so that a bit of tossing would create enough energy to charge the battery housed inside the ball. "The device fits both [AA and AAA batteries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paleblue-usbc-cells)," New Launches says. "The Roll Charger has LED indicators for when the batteries are fully charged." Think that's neat?
