Israeli designer Neta Soreq recently used 3D printing technology to design her Energetic Pass footwear. As 3D printing becomes a more accessible tool for young designers, many are taking advantage of the opportunity to create futuristic apparel and footwear. Soreq's designs demonstrate just one of the innovative ways designers can use the technology.

Soreq came up with the design for her Energetic Pass footwear while studying at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. It was here that she was inspired by different therapy treatments that alter the flow of energy in the body. As Soreq explains, "I was inspired by the structure of the muscles and the natural movement of the foot in different positions." As a result, the shoes feature sinuous stripes of material that mimic the look of muscle fibers. The unique shape of the heels also helps to absorb shocks and give the wearer a unique walking experience.
