# Endearing Arboreal Illuminators Enchanted Forest Table Light Has a Beautiful Base Made from Birch By Amelia Roblin | Published 2014-03-14 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enchanted-forest-table-light References: [elisahonkanen](http://elisahonkanen.com/enchantedforest.html) Through the lovely Enchanted Forest Table Light, designer Elisa Honkanen strove to recreate the magical glowing effect of the treetops on midsummer nights in Finland. The diffuse luminescence of the moon is caught and reflected by the pale bark of birch trees, setting the woods subtly alight. This inspiration was explored conceptually with the use of [hollowed birch tree branches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hoop-table-lamp) as the main bodies of the [table lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-table-lamp). The tiny trunk contains the electrical components, as well as a small spotlight that beams brightly upwards. To soften the rays of the Enchanted Forest Table Light, a [spherical glass globe](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuloa) is placed upon each organic stump. This may have a gray tint to it or a blue one, subduing the intensity for that ambient effect. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 12% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Arboreal Lighting:** Exploring the use of natural materials and design elements to create unique lighting fixtures for homes and offices. - **Nature-inspired Decor:** Incorporating elements of nature into interior design to create a calming and peaceful environment. - **Sustainable Lighting:** Developing energy-efficient lighting solutions that use renewable and recyclable materials. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** Creating lighting solutions that enhance the aesthetic appeal of interior spaces. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Incorporating natural materials and sustainable design principles into furniture production and design. - **Green Technology:** Innovating in energy-efficient lighting and sustainable manufacturing processes to reduce carbon footprint. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Miniature Portable Ambiant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blossi.md) - [Sculptural Wooden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-lamp.md) - [Tree Branch-Formed Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/celestial-attraction.md) - [Mushroom-Inspired Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humble-lights.md) - [Serene Wooden Dynamic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sleepy-wood.md) - [Imaginative Mushroom Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/white-rabbit-england.md) - [Sculpted Wooden Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sleepy-wood-desk-lamp.md) - [Hanging Lantern-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodo-table-lamp.md) - [Plant-Inspired Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palmetto-lamp.md)
