Swedish native Emma Hartvig is making quite a name for herself in the photography world.
As a recent graduate of the London College of Communication, Hartvig is cultivating an impressive portfolio. Her work has been featured in HUH Magazine and It's Nice That; she's also hosted exhibitions in Sweden, Amsterdam and New York City.
Perhaps the most astonishing quality about Hartvig's work is her ability to convey and translate a sense of life and movement into a static image. There is something intuitive about Hartvig's portfolio; it's almost as though she captures reality so well, so vividly, that we have no choice but to respond in a familiar way -- as though we are acknowledging, or recognizing, a part of ourselves in her images.
