Since she considers [modern heirlooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gathered-collection) and treasures, it is only natural that they would have such a timeless appeal. Granted, some of the patterns and silhouettes are easily dated to today's generation, such as the polkadots and geometric angles, yet overall Emily Reinhardt focuses on organic hues and forms that would complement many homes. Working under the alias The Object Enthusiast, Emily Reinhardt strikes a fine balance between [imperfections and finished products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gourd-project). She reveals, "It’s a style of throwing that embraces the imperfections, and so I decided to take that a little further, and I started cutting pieces out of the walls intentionally with a knife. It happens really organically, and that’s exactly what I love about creating." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 38% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Porcelain Housewares:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore 3D printing technology to create customizable and unique designs for porcelain housewares. - **Modern Heirlooms:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine traditional craftsmanship with smart technology to create modern heirlooms that can be passed down through generations. - **Imperfect Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop sustainable manufacturing techniques and materials that embrace imperfections and celebrate the beauty of unique designs. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate augmented reality and virtual reality technologies into the home decor industry to provide virtual product experiences and design consultations. - **Artisan Crafts:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Utilize blockchain technology to create transparent supply chains for artisan crafts, ensuring authenticity and fair trade practices. - **Design & Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with industrial designers and technology experts to create innovative products that blend traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Handmade Modern Ceramics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-gunia-project.md) - [Adorable Ceramic Homeware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-homeware1.md) - [Modernist Ceramic Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-bohemia.md) - [Hand-Painted Ceramic Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handpainted-ceramic-collections.md) - [Colorful Handmade Ceramics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-9-clay.md) - [Natural Landscape-Inspired Ceramics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/matter-collection.md) - [Textural Porcelain Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tamara-efrat.md) - [Revived Mid-Century Serveware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tortugaware.md) - [Ceramic Modern Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hillsborough-residence.md)
