# Delicate Deer Photography Emily Lee's Work is Beautifully Dainty and Sentimental By Ana Lopez | Published 2011-10-31 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emily-lee References: [mymodernmet](http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/reindeer-games) & [flickr](http://www.flickr.com/photos/52619846@N06/) As a young photographer who is still in high school and is trying to understand the world and her reality, Emily Lee uses the camera to express herself and feelings. Her photos are her personal diary and observations of life. This series certainly feels sentimental. The main subjects -- the deer and the girl -- convey a strong feeling of innocence and beauty, which is also captured by the [soft light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delicate-lighting) and the green landscape. The artist declares in her Flickr profile, "I'm not exactly one who knows how to express my emotions or how I am feeling. [Photography allows me to express myself](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/all-within-the-detour). In some ways looking at life through a lens helps me see things more clearly." These pieces are [poetic and expressive](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multimedia-art-installation); they show Emily Lee's desire and curiosity to explore the world. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 89% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Sentimental Photography:** Capture emotions and personal experiences through photography. - **Expressive Self-portraits:** Use photography as a medium to reflect personal emotions and journey. - **Youthful Artistic Expression:** Explore creativity and self-discovery through photography at a young age. ### Where This Applies - **Photography:** Opportunity for photographers to create sentimental and expressive visuals. - **Art and Creative Expression:** Provide platforms and tools for young artists to explore their emotions and perceptions. - **Education and Youth Development:** Incorporate photography as a creative outlet and self-exploration tool for young individuals. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Photography Project Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/still-life-1.md) - [Personal Nostalgic Photo Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holy-ohio.md) - [Chalk Streams Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/british-conceptual-landscape-photographer.md) - [Modern Poertic Ceramics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/virginia-sin.md) - [Hand-Painted Watercolor Prints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emma-webster.md) - [Striking Urban Wildlife Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clare-allin.md) - [AI-Generated Poetic Photo Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emilio-alarcn.md) - [Art-Inspired Streetwear Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silent-echoes.md) - [Whimsical Childlike Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-eternal-child.md)
