Whether it's an [awful date](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-game-game), a snooze-worthy meeting or just an awkward conversation, pressing the Tiyo Button will help you extricate yourself from whatever you'd rather not be a part of. Tiyo works when you press the button on its [keychain](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quickrelease-edc-carry-system), which will then send you a call. Ahead of time, you have the option to make customizations to make the [fake call](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hiya-ai) seem more realistic, such as specifying who the call is coming from. To make your escape seem as natural as possible, the conversation includes a script so that you can be out of there in no time. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 81% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Romance](https://www.trendhunter.com/romance) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Emergency Extrication:** Technology-enabled emergency escape buttons will continue to rise, whether to escape bad dates, awkward conversations, or other unpleasant situations. - **Customizable Scripting:** The trend towards customization in applications will extend to emergency escape technologies as people seek more convincing and personalized fake calls. - **Discreet Alerting:** Discreet but effective alerting mechanisms that can be carried on the person will continue to be developed for wider safety roll-out. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Personal Safety:** Personal safety wearable technology will continue to grow in the consumer market with applications such as Tiyo. - **Dating Apps:** Dating app providers can leverage the customization trend as well as the potential integration of emergency functionality. - **Security Apps:** This trend also applies to security apps and companies with a focus on personal safety. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Date Rescue Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-date-escape.md) - [Portable Emergency Alert Buttons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arlo-safe-button.md) - [Connected Personal Safety Alarms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pom-safe.md) - [Emergency Alert Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/protechme.md) - [Titanium Button-Like Fidget Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slider-30.md) - [Emergency Distress Signals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sos-light-app.md) - [Smart Safety Flashlights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timeli-flashlight.md) - [Personal Safety Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/just-n-case.md) - [Anti-Stalking App Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tile.md)
