The carbon fiber unit houses a retractable tape within that can be used to section off specific areas; the [light technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cuttingedge-display-technologies) within will illuminate the tape and make it highly visible from all directions to ensure it isn't overlooked. The system is designed for deployment almost anywhere thanks to its highly portable aesthetic and can be linked up with as many or as few additional units as required to section off areas. The conceptual 'Eluminance' barricade is the design work of Duane Lye Dun Wei and is outfitted with patented ASTAR printed electronics technology. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 53% | Activity: 48% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Digital Signage Solutions:** The 'Eluminance' barricade showcases the opportunity for using digital signage for enhanced safety in emergency scenarios. - **Retractable Tape Technology:** The 'Eluminance' barricade demonstrates the potential for using retractable tape technology to efficiently section off specific areas. - **Portable Design Aesthetics:** The 'Eluminance' barricade highlights the trend of highly portable design aesthetics for easy deployment in various locations. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Emergency Management:** The 'Eluminance' barricade presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for the emergency management industry to improve safety measures during emergencies. - **Digital Signage:** The 'Eluminance' barricade opens up possibilities for the digital signage industry to expand into safety applications in emergency scenarios. - **Construction and Infrastructure:** The 'Eluminance' barricade offers a disruptive innovation opportunity for the construction and infrastructure industry to enhance safety protocols and sectioning off work areas. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [IoT-Connected Traffic Beacons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/traffic-beacon-concept.md) - [Character-Like Roadway Bollards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/safety-bollard.md) - [Gargantuan Digital Lifeguards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/public-safety-initiative.md) - [Pedestrian-Detecting Crosswalks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-pedestrian-crosswalk.md) - [Cyclist Safety Light Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bike-safety-device.md) - [Smart Safety Flashlights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timeli-flashlight.md) - [Tech-Visible Bike Reflectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/radian-wingman.md) - [LED Light-Integrated Running Belts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-lumabelt.md) - [Flatpack Traffic Cones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apiece-traffic-cone.md)
