# Peeping Tom Portraits Elle Moss Captures the Beauty of the Unknowing Gaze By Christopher DeLuca | Published 2011-06-10 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elle-moss References: [etsy](http://www.etsy.com/listing/75124212/before-the-voyage-4x6-original-signed?ref=fp_treasury_1) & [ellemoss.blogspot](http://ellemoss.blogspot.com/) Elle Moss's warm portrait captures the beauty of the unknowing gaze. The portrait depicts Moss alone in a room, peering outside with a pair of binoculars. The photo was shot during the day and the viewer is left wondering what Moss might be gazing at. The viewer in turn acts as the unknowing gazer on Elle Moss; the photo can then be seen as a commentary on how photography allows viewers to peer into a world without having the gaze returned. What I particularly like about the [portrait by Elle Moss](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portrait-mom) is the [aesthetic composition and the warm colors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-portraits). This portrait is currently available through the photographer's [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tarotandreading) page for only $10 -- if you are interested, act with haste, as there is only one available. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 77% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Unknowing Gaze Portraiture:** Artists are capturing the beauty of the unknowing gaze in portraiture, creating opportunities for customized photo shoots and artistic collaborations. - **Interactive Photography Experience:** The use of interactive or immersive photography experiences is becoming more prevalent, allowing users to be a part of the photo and create unique memories. - **Audience Participation Art:** There is a rise in artwork that relies on audience participation, enhancing engagement and blurring the lines between artist and viewer. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Photography:** Photography businesses can offer customizable shoots that highlight the beauty of the unknowing gaze and encourage audience interaction. - **Event Planning:** Event planners can incorporate interactive photography experiences into their events to enhance attendee engagement and create unique memories. - **Art Exhibitions:** Art exhibitions can showcase audience participation art to generate buzz and invite viewers to interact with the artwork on a deeper level. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [AI-Powered Portrait Studios](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-powered-portrait-studio.md) - [Public Art Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paul-anthony-smith.md) - [Artful Custom Mirror Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portraits-collection.md) - [Ethereal Light Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peter-kovacsy.md) - [Glamorous Artful Bronze Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sweet-jane.md) - [Art-Inspired Streetwear Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silent-echoes.md) - [Human Nature-Themed Art Galleries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sea-im-awake.md) - [Custom Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portrait-mom.md)
