Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the 31 year old View Hostess, has never been one to hide her opinion. The video shows Hasselbeck’s public **Michelle Obama burn**, after Obama had made it crystal clear there were certain topics she did not want discussed on air. Later Elisabeth Hasselbeck compared her to Cindy McCain. “Cindy came into our hair and makeup room, fresh as can be, and unlike another wife of a political candidate who shall remain nameless, she didn’t come with a list of topics that we weren’t allowed to touch. No. That’s because she has nothing to hide,” she said on the View. Elisabeth Hasselbeck hasn’t held back at all in making it publicly evident that she is very much pro-Palin. “All I can say is cover is off the ball,” she said of Sarah Palin. “She knocked it out of the park. She addressed everything dead on. Not afraid. She is a true American. I am — I am thrilled with Senator McCain’s choice.” The former *Survivor: The Australian Outback* contestant previously sweat under the media spotlight for similar remarks back in January, at which point she and her co-hosts had discussed the odds of a female vs. African-American president. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 78% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Social Good](https://www.trendhunter.com/socialgood) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Controversial Political Commentary:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in media platforms that allow for open and respectful political discussions. - **Media Scrutiny and Public Opinion:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in tools and technologies for monitoring and analyzing public sentiment towards public figures and controversial statements. - **Polarization in Political Discourse:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in platforms that encourage constructive and nuanced political conversations, fostering empathy and understanding among diverse viewpoints. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Media and Broadcasting:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in news media platforms that prioritize unbiased and responsible journalism. - **Social Media and Online Forums:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in online platforms that facilitate respectful and inclusive political discussions. - **Public Opinion Analysis:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in data analytics tools and technologies that provide real-time insights into public sentiment and opinion. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pop Culture Presidency Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brat.md) - [Political Podcast Milestones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joe-rogan-hosted-former-president-trump.md) - [Branded Short Talk Shows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/progressives-dr-rick.md) - [Expansive Electoral Candy Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/election-collection.md) - [Viral Political Campaign Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harris-walz.md) - [Gray QSR Mascot Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wendys-canada-goes-gray.md) - [Political Campaign Game Maps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freedom-town.md) - [Multifaceted Swimsuit Cover Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sports-illustrated-swimsuit-1.md) - [Celebrity-Backed Cookware Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cookware-line-risa.md)
