# Scrunched Geometric Lighting The 'Miss Maple' Pendant Lamp by Elisa Strozyk Looks Like Paper By Annie Ho | Published 2010-07-01 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elisa-strozyk References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2010/06/29/miss-maple-pendant-lamp-by-elisa-strozyk/) & [elisastrozyk.de](http://www.elisastrozyk.de/) Elisa Strozyk is the designer behind the 'Miss Maple' Pendant Lamp above. You might think that wood is a rough, hard substance, but this [cloud-like light installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightmass-2025-pendants) would prove you wrong. This lamp consists of wood that's been cut out into little triangles and placed in a geometric grid. This structure gives the lamp its flexibility; from afar, it looks as if it is made out of [crumpled paper](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/farolito).
