# AI-Generated Audiobook Features ElevenLabs Now Supports AI-Powered Audiobook Generation By Kanesa D | Published 2025-02-27 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elevenlabs-1 References: [techcrunch](https://techcrunch.com/2025/02/25/elevenlabs-is-now-letting-authors-create-and-publish-audiobooks-on-its-own-platform/?guccounter=1) & [elevenlabs.io](https://elevenlabs.io/) ElevenLabs, a leading Voice AI company, is expanding its footprint in the audiobook market by allowing authors to publish AI-generated audiobooks directly on its Reader app. This move comes shortly after [ElevenLabs'](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/genfm) strategic partnership with [Spotify](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audiobook-publishing) to introduce AI-narrated audiobooks. With this launch, ElevenLabs is positioning itself as a competitor to [Audible](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audible-3), a platform it argues provides lower royalty rates for authors. Under its model, audiobooks will be hosted exclusively on the Reader app, and authors will be compensated based on user engagement, creating a more author-friendly monetization structure. By integrating AI-driven narration and offering a potentially more lucrative model for content creators, ElevenLabs is strategically disrupting the audiobook industry, appealing to independent authors and a tech-savvy listener base.
