Some of these captures feature [colorful smoke](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-dancer), while others include [luminous critters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spencer-finch). Half of these stunning shots are set in day light while the rest are done at night; some are even done underwater. The stunning daytime captures are set in a wooded area. In one shot, an opened gift box sitting in the grass is releasing pink smoke. In another shot, a man seems to be walking along a sideways tree. One of the most eye-catching shots in this series features a ballerina-like woman who is surrounded by glowing jellyfish and seems to be a fish herself. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.8/10 - Popularity: 99% | Activity: 97% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/photography) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Surreal Photography:** Creating stunning photographs that blend elements of fantasy with real-world beauty. - **Colorful Smoke Effects:** Using colorful smoke to add a touch of surrealism to photographs. - **Luminous Critters:** Incorporating luminous creatures into photographs to create an otherworldly atmosphere. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Photography:** Opportunity for artists and photographers to experiment with surreal techniques and create captivating imagery. - **Advertising and Marketing:** Utilizing surreal photography techniques to create attention-grabbing and memorable advertising campaigns. - **Entertainment and Media:** Incorporating surreal elements into movie scenes or album covers to create visually captivating experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Statement Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1.md) - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md) - [AI-Generated Poetic Photo Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emilio-alarcn.md) - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [AI-Generated Retrofuturistic Objects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retrofuturistic-objects.md) - [Illuminated Curtained Light Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/making-the-invisible-visible.md) - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Paper Curvature Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-curves.md) - [Surreal Love-Themed Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joakim-ojanen.md)
