His work features clever display of [graphical dimension and depth](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optical-flow) in its artistic context. Levi says that his photo series “BallPoints” is not a just a portrait, but an information-rich image of [colour, form, texture, and content](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/painting-exhibition). By giving familiar elements such as a ballpoint-line, ink drops, etc, a new context , it results in a confusing conflict between the normal objects and new values it has been given it due to its placement in this new photographic context. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Elemental Transfers:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new ways to modify faces and transform them into objects, creating art with a unique perspective. - **Graphical Dimension:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Utilize graphical techniques to add depth and visual interest to artistic creations, pushing the boundaries of traditional art forms. - **Information-rich Images:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Experiment with incorporating multiple elements such as color, form, texture, and content into images, creating visually immersive and thought-provoking compositions. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Fine Arts:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate innovative techniques and concepts into fine art practices, challenging traditional notions of portraiture and artistic expression. - **Photography:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new ways to capture and present images, combining elements of photography and graphic design to create visually compelling compositions. - **Visual Arts Education:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate the concepts of elemental transfers, graphical dimension, and information-rich images into art education curriculum to inspire and empower students to think outside the box. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stylized Portrait Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-to-all.md) - [Stunning Origami Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-portaits.md) - [Digital Archetype Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christian-rex-van-minnen-1.md) - [Reimagined Puzzled Artful Paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portrait-of-a-woman-in-a-hat.md) - [3D-Printed Colorful Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/olivier-van-herpt-1.md) - [Human Duality-Themed Abstract Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/passive-aggression.md) - [Striking Glass Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-portraits.md) - [Travel-Inspired Canvas Paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-passport-series.md) - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md)
