Scientists have just developed a magnetosensitive electronic skin technology for users to better operate objects virtually. The technology is attached to the skin, and a 2-Dimensional magnetic sensors enables users to control functions. The functions that the skin is able to control include typing on a keyboard or adjusting the intensity of light without actual touch, and only by wrist movement. The magnetic field sensor plays a major role in its functions, allowing the mechanisms to track movement without touch. There is a thin layer that is implemented within the sensors that enable the magnets and it is a soft, flexible material. The technology has the potential to be implemented towards health service devices like [prosthetics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sleev-1).

One of the developers of the magnetosensitive electronic skin, Cañón Bermúdez states, "The technology isn’t meant to replace current VR, but to complement it by adding more detail."
