# Powerful Stain-Removing Appliances Electrolux KEWA by Pietro Russomanno Gets Rid of Greasy Stains By Summer Luu | Published 2011-04-20 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electrolux-kewa-by-pietro-russomanno References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2011/04/19/water-blade-for-tuff-stains/) & [domusacademy](http://www.domusacademy.com/site/home.html) I have not been lucky enough to avoid scrubbing a few dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, but the [Electrolux](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-appliance-hub) KEWA by Pietro Russomanno is designed to change this. I hate scrubbing dishes. I just want to throw them into the washer and not worry about stains. The KEWA concept is an acronym for [Kinetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unnatural-history-museum-of-singapore) Efficient Water Appliance, and a powerful dishwasher that uses air pressure to direct water through kinetic jets to create "water-blades." Sounds pretty forceful to me, which is a good thing because it'll get rid of even the greasiest of stains. Another intriguing feature is its compact, countertop design which blends right into the kitchen space in a minimalist look. The Electrolux KEWA by Pietro Russomanno is a student design from [Domus Academy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/domus). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 46% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Compact Countertop Appliances:** The trend of compact countertop appliances presents disruptive innovation opportunities for kitchen appliance manufacturers to create efficient and space-saving solutions for consumers. - **Kinetic Cleaning Technology:** The trend of kinetic cleaning technology provides disruptive innovation opportunities for appliance makers to develop powerful stain-removing appliances that use air pressure and kinetic jets to achieve superior cleaning results. - **Minimalist Kitchen Design:** The trend of minimalist kitchen design opens up disruptive innovation opportunities for appliance designers to create appliances that seamlessly blend into the kitchen space, enhancing the aesthetics while maintaining functionality. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Kitchen Appliance Manufacturing:** The kitchen appliance manufacturing industry can capitalize on the trend of compact countertop appliances, focusing on creating innovative and space-efficient solutions to meet consumer demands. - **Appliance Cleaning Technology:** The appliance cleaning technology industry can explore the trend of kinetic cleaning technology to develop advanced stain-removing appliances that offer superior cleaning performance and convenience to consumers. - **Home Design and Furnishings:** The home design and furnishings industry can leverage the trend of minimalist kitchen design by offering appliances that seamlessly align with the overall aesthetics of modern kitchens, providing a cohesive and visually pleasing environment for homeowners. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Detergent-Free High-Speed Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highspeed-dishwasher.md) - [Entry-Level Countertop Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bugu-dishwasher.md) - [Portable Handheld Dishwasher](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/automated-portable-handheld-dishwasher.md) - [Sleek Large-Capacity Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haier-1.md) - [Ergonomic Kitchen Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fotile-x20-max.md) - [Compact Countertop Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-countertop-dishwasher.md) - [Affordable Grease-Fighting Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elista.md) - [Elephant-Inspired Countertop Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elle.md) - [Powerful Small-Space Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lissome-r1.md)
