The soldering pen features a compact design that is perfect for doing precision work thanks to an ultra-slim tip that is surrounded by a see-through cover. This works to expose the internal air purification system to the task at hand and prevent smoke from clouding up a workspace. The conceptual electric soldering iron is the design work of Wang Guoqiang and is the winner of the 2020 Red Dot Design Award. The unit also boasts a series of built-in lithium batteries that are rechargeable to eliminate the need for wired alternatives that can get in the way during projects. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 39% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Compact Precision Tools:** Opportunity for developing compact tools with precision features for DIY projects. - **Air Purification Technology:** Opportunity for integrating air purification systems into various devices to improve indoor air quality during work. - **Wireless Rechargeable Equipment:** Opportunity for creating wireless and rechargeable equipment to minimize the inconvenience of wired alternatives. ### Who This Affects Most - **DIY Tools and Equipment:** Opportunity for manufacturers to develop innovative tools for DIY enthusiasts that prioritize compact design and precision. - **Air Quality Solutions:** Opportunity for companies to create devices with built-in air purification technology to cater to individuals working in environments with smoke or pollutants. - **Rechargeable Electronics:** Opportunity for electronic manufacturers to design and produce rechargeable devices that offer convenience and flexibility to users. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Beginner-Friendly Smart Soldering Irons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-soldering-iron.md) - [Camera-Equipped Soldering Irons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/visual-soldering-iron.md) - [One-Hand Soldering Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jiizer-01x.md) - [Adjustable Lamp-Like Hood Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-air-purifier.md) - [Lung Health-Tracking Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airpen-spirometer.md) - [Mini Kitchen Cooking Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kokir-cooking-curifier.md) - [Air-Blowing Face Masks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-mask.md) - [Space-Saving Laser Engravers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elegoo-phecda.md) - [Light-Integrated Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airglow.md)
