However, that design lacked the creativity or atheistic appeal that would make a nice addition to your home decor. That problem is solved with the Socket-Deer which is both functional and great to look at. It is essentially a [socket cover](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/powerbug) with deer horns to hold your [mobile phone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbit-phone) or other gizmos as they charge. When not in use, the Socket-Deer still looks like a neat piece of art attached to the wall. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 26% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Functional Socket Covers:** The integration of aesthetic appeal and functionality in socket covers presents disruptive innovation opportunities in home decor. - **Gadget-holding Accessories:** The development of accessories that can securely hold and charge gadgets during use opens up disruptive innovation opportunities in the technology market. - **Artistic Home Decor:** The combination of art and practicality in home decor items like the Socket-Deer offers disruptive innovation opportunities to create unique and visually appealing products. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** The fusion of functionality and artistic design in socket covers can bring disruptive innovation opportunities to the home decor industry. - **Technology:** The invention of accessories that incorporate charging capabilities like the Socket-Deer can revolutionize the technology industry. - **Art and Design:** The development of artistic and functional home decor pieces, such as the Socket-Deer, introduces disruptive innovation opportunities in the art and design industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artfully Dynamic Power Strips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aunion.md) - [Garden-Inspired Smartphone Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-moonlit-desk-garden.md) - [Design-Conscious Extension Cords](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/willow-power-supply.md) - [Outlet-Mounted Device Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tech-charger-dock.md) - [Natural Rock-Imitating Extension Cords](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/power-gem.md) - [Display-Equipped Smart Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dino-charger.md) - [Tech-Charging Book Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haaase-liesma-bookshelf.md) - [Sleek Compact Minimal Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-charger.md) - [Timber Clamp-Equipped Smartphone Mounts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphone-desk-shelf-mount.md)
