# DIY Electric Ninja Weapons This 8 Million Volt Double Bladed Sword is Shockingly Terrifying By Andrew Sztein | Published 2013-02-03 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-ninja References: [obviouswinner](http://www.obviouswinner.com/obvwin/2013/1/29/the-double-bladed-shock-ninja-sword-delivers-8-million-volts.html) & [youtube](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mITp-g1yb0) Fair warning, when I say that this is a DIY project, I don't recommend that you recreate this electric Ninja Sword yourself. Not only is this shocking death dealer a [double bladed ninja sword](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pink-soldier-saber), but it's combined with a taser to create a frightening weapon. The creation from [YouTube](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mrbeast) user GreekGadgetGuru can not only [cut through steel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultrasonic-cutter), but delivers a crazy 8 million volt charge at the same time. When looking at this thing, I have to wonder what the point of the insane voltage is when the victim is likely being hacked up at the same time, aside from a fear factor. In a clever (read: incredibly necessary) touch, the wielder of the electric ninja sword must wear a special contact glove so that the charge doesn't shock the user. There's nothing like an electric ninja weapon to create a little shock and awe amongst enemies. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 51% | Activity: 68% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **DIY Electric Weapons:** The trend of creating homemade electric weapons like the double bladed ninja sword with a taser opens up opportunities for innovative weapon designs. - **Custom Weapons for Self-defense:** The trend of combining different weapon types, like the electric ninja sword, offers disruptive innovation opportunities in the self-defense industry. - **Personalized Security Gadgets:** The trend of incorporating electrical components into weapons, such as the 8 million volt double bladed sword, presents potential for disruptive innovation in the security gadgets market. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Weapon Manufacturing:** The DIY electric weapons trend could disrupt traditional weapon manufacturing as more individuals create customized and innovative weapons. - **Self-defense Training:** The combination of different weapon types, like the electric ninja sword, creates new opportunities for disruption in the self-defense training industry. - **Security Gadgets:** The incorporation of electrical components into weapons, such as the 8 million volt double bladed sword, presents disruptive innovation opportunities in the security gadgets industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultrasonic Chef Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seattle-ultrasonics-c200.md) - [LED-Powered Laser Swords](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/black-series-obiwan-kenobi-force-fx-elite-lightsaber.md) - [Ultrasonic Technology Kitchen Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultrasonic-kitchen-knife.md) - [Forged Sword-Like Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shirasagi-knife.md) - [Minimalist Handmade Katana-Style Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-square-tube-knife.md) - [Hyper-Tough Titanium Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smith-blade.md) - [Advanced Ultrasonic Hobby Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hozo-design-neoblade.md) - [Motion-Activated Sci-Fi Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hasbro-2.md) - [Vibrating Chef Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seattle-ultrasonics.md)
