The first EV being released in the United States under its Lexus brand is the '2023 Lexus [RZ 450e](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lexus-rz-450e),' which is a fully electric version of the brand's famous 'UX' compact crossover. The RZ 450e uses the 'e-TNGA' platform for its base, which is also being used in other Toyota and [Subaru](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/subaru-2026-uncharted) EVs. Due to this, the features on the RZ 450e will be convenient and similar to these competitors, however, Lexus will also use its 'Direct4' AWD system. The luxury status of Lexus means that this EV will be pushed further than the Toyota and Subaru counterparts. The RZ 450e will be performance-enhanced with more horsepower, a greater top speed, faster 0-60, and a longer-lasting battery than its comparable models.
