The long metal stick has a slick look that's worthy of being displayed in the open. A [pebble-like charging station](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magma-lamp) supports the gadget in a straight standing position as it juices up for future use on a nightstand or a side table. The lengthy body makes it practical to light up wicks placed within [deep candleholders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/switchbot-candle-warmer-lamp). Making use of electricity, this electric lighter creates a current between the pair of prongs on the tip, making it a more precise product than the usual. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 87% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Electric Lighter Technology:** The rise of electric lighters presents an opportunity for further development of wireless charging and battery life in products. - **Sustainable Flame Creation:** The use of electric lighters eliminates the need for lighter fluid, presenting opportunities for sustainable and environmentally friendly flame creation options. - **Display Worthy Design:** The Illume ArcLighter's stylish design presents the potential for further exploration into incorporating functional items with beautiful and display-worthy aesthetics. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** The stylish design and practicality of electric lighters can be implemented into home decor as a functional and aesthetic piece. - **Outdoor and Camping Equipment:** Electric lighters can prove useful and more efficient for outdoor enthusiasts, presenting an opportunity for manufacturers to incorporate electric lighter technology into camping equipment. - **Smoking Accessories:** The Illume ArcLighter's precision and lack of lighter fluid provide a unique offering to the smoking accessories industry, allowing for future exploration of sustainable and innovative flame creation. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Breath-Activated Flameless Lighters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clean-torch.md) - [Premium Windproof Lighters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yellow-flame-butane.md) - [Quirky Common Item Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-lamp-lighter.md) - [Minimalistic Slim Lighters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/two-tone-minimal-lighter.md) - [Geometric Steel Fire Starters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spark-fire.md) - [Witty Workshop Lighter Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bic-shop-talk-lighter-series.md) - [Pea-Inspired Whimsical Lighter Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tabletop-lighter.md) - [Vintage-Style Living Room Lighters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/houseplant-car-lighter.md) - [Flickering Candle-Inspired Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebo-big-poppy.md)
