In partnership with 24Pet, El Paso has launched the ‘24Pet Reunite Site,’ a solar-powered microchip scanner that currently operates at Salvador Rivas Jr. Park. Using microchip information, community members and veterinarians can see a dog’s microchip number, and find out where to [get their pet microchipped](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-health-monitoring) if they are not already. By using a QR code on the ‘Reunite Site,’ users will be instructed on how to check for microchips. [Best Friends Animal Society](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uber-showcats), a [non-profit organization dedicated to animal welfare](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/animal-surgical-center), is helping to fund the ‘Reunite Site’ and is working with El Paso Animal Services to install more scanners in the city.
