The colorful cylinders are visually interesting on their own, but upon entering them, spectators can push and pull a crank to animate a fairy tale on screens that line the inside of the circles. Ekumen's Loop is part of the Luminotherapie festival in Montreal. Luminotherapie consists of several public art displays around Montreal's arts quarter. Loop, which was designed by local art studio Ekumen, consists of 13 of the giant cylinders placed in the Place des Festival plaza.
