# 3D Architectural Wall Art This DIY Makes an Eiffel Tower Picture Out of Nails and Thread By Jen Chae | Published 2013-08-02 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eiffel-tower-picture References: [blog.naver](http://blog.naver.com/hankukilbo/70172612197) & [blog.naver](http://blog.naver.com/hankukilbo) This [Eiffel Tower](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/notre-dame-cathedral) picture is made of thin nails and string. South Korean blogger Design Recipe was inspired to illustrate the Parisian tower due to a baguette craving. The resulting effect is a masterpiece that truly captures the essence of Paris. This project requires a [plank of wood, nails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nest-lamp) and hammer and thread. You'll also need to print the design of your choice and trace the image onto the wood. The full [step-by-step pictorial](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seoul-my-soul) is posted on the Design Recipe blog. This project is the last DIY that Design Recipe will ever be posting. Almost always too professional to call a DIY, the blogger's creations have been often featured on Trend Hunter as they were my personal favorite. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.5/10 - Popularity: 98% | Activity: 90% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [DIY](https://www.trendhunter.com/diy) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **3D String Art:** An opportunity to create DIY string art that creates 3D designs - **Personalized Wall Art:** An opportunity to create customized and personalized wall art using string and nails - **DIY Home Decor:** An opportunity to create unique and affordable home decor using simple crafting supplies ### Who This Affects Most - **Craft and DIY Industry:** Opportunities to provide more simple and affordable crafting supplies for consumers - **Interior Design Industry:** Opportunities to provide customized and personalized wall art for consumers that is affordable and easy to create - **Education Industry:** Opportunities to provide educational resources and workshops for individuals interested in learning how to create personalized wall art using string and nails ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Parisian Building-Inspired Bookends](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paris-bookend.md) - [Artful Four-Poster Bed Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/day-bed-installation.md) - [DIY Nail Art Printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-nailbot.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Unique 3D Printing Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3d-printed-church.md) - [Eiffel Tower-Embedded Medals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paris-2024.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md) - [Architectural Wall Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humanise-wall.md) - [Contemporary Art Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-art-building-set.md)
