Since houses are often hard to find in downtown city cores, [loft spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/omarama-attic) offer an [open floor plan](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/affordable-housing-prototype) that acts as a blank slate for the occupants design ideas. This loft features a long and narrow floor plan. The kitchen and bedroom areas are connected by a sliding door, which will make getting a midnight snack or morning coffee all the more easy. The biggest challenge of decorating a loft space is distinguishing between the different spaces. EHTV Architects does this using [elevated bamboo flooring](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canter-and-gallop) and details around the kitchen area. The architects of this loft did a good job creating a functional and flowing space, but the rest is up to you. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 66% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Bamboo Flooring:** The trend of using bamboo flooring in loft spaces can create a sustainable and stylish design aesthetic. - **Open Floor Plans:** The trend of open floor plans in urban living spaces provides flexibility for creative design and maximizing living space. - **Sliding Doors:** The trend of incorporating sliding doors in loft designs offers convenient separation of different functional areas while maintaining an open feel. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can find disruptive innovation opportunities by exploring new ways to incorporate bamboo flooring and sliding doors in urban living spaces. - **Construction:** The construction industry can capitalize on the trend of open floor plans by designing and building adaptable loft spaces with flexible layouts. - **Sustainable Materials:** The sustainable materials industry can take advantage of the bamboo flooring trend by providing eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing options for loft spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [NYC Apartment Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brooklyn-loft.md) - [Textile-Transformed Parisian Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/isabelle-heilmann.md) - [Elevated Garden Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/attic-above-garden.md) - [Remodelled Denim-Detailed Modern Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microloft.md) - [Industrial Loft Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-casa-mrgt.md) - [Reimagined Modern NYC Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tribeca-loft.md) - [European-Inspired Urban Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ghislaine-via.md) - [Exposed Wooden Beam Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gowanus-loft.md) - [Vibrantly Designed German Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vitrahaus-loft.md)
