For this reason, it's refreshing to see the way that the Egola Lamp can support one's hardworking habits with a light foot and a [minimalist appearance](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/takeout-lamp). Braced by a delicate [V-shaped base](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/horizon-table-light), Valentina Carretta's piece takes up negligible space on a cluttered desk and its modest and rational aesthetic does not compete with the mess, rather inspiring a system of orderliness and organization. Designed to block the lightbulb's bright glow from reaching the eyes of the sitter, the Egola Lamp has an open triangular lampshade to cast a beam of light onto the desktop below. It would function well on large library tables, able to illuminate books on both sides equally. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 1% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Minimalist Desk Lighting:** Opportunity for simplified and unobtrusive designs in desk lighting, promoting focus and organization. - **Efficient Workspace Accessories:** Opportunity to create compact and space-saving accessories for cluttered desks, enhancing productivity. - **Eye-friendly Illumination:** Opportunity for light fixtures that prioritize reducing eye strain and providing optimal lighting conditions. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture and Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to create minimalist and space-saving lighting solutions for desks and workspaces. - **Office Supplies:** Opportunity to develop efficient and functional desk accessories that improve organization and productivity. - **Lighting Technology:** Opportunity to design innovative lighting solutions that prioritize eye comfort and provide optimal illumination for workspaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Space-Saving Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacesaving-desk-lamp.md) - [Minimalist Workstation Task Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desk-lamp-concept.md) - [Weighted Multi-Position Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-desk-lamp-design.md) - [Sleek Contemporary Metal-Encased Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/library-lamp.md) - [Elegant Metal Perforated Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foreshadow-table-lamp.md) - [Minimalist Tech Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delite-20.md) - [Geometric Industrial Desktop Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-lamp.md) - [Multifunctional Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-boring-lamp.md) - [Demure Designer Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/designer-desk-lamp.md)
