# Egg Shell Art Fran Grom Up's The Ante By Cowbag | Published 2008-07-21 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/egg-shell-art-fran-grom-ups-the-ante References: [news.nationalgeographic](http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2006/04/0414_060414_easter.html) They say patience is a virtue and egg master Franc Grom must have it by the bucket load! To master the [intricacy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boris-nmitz) of his [egg shell art pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humansized-egg-installation) requires him to drill at least 2,500 to 3,500 holes in each eggshell. Astoundingly, he has been know to drill up to 17,000 per egg! Grom's works are inspired by [Slovenian designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shiyuan-xu) and are, in my view, unique and awesome. **Implications** - In today's society, there is a large clientele of individuals who relish in the consumption of products or services that showcase high degrees of creative and artistic expertise. As not all members of society possess the same skill set, providing products which emanate original artist's work will generate high profits for a company. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Artistic Expertise Products:** Creating products that showcase high degrees of creative and artistic expertise can generate high profits for a company. - **Unique Design Inspiration:** Drawing inspiration from unique and awe-inspiring designs can set a brand apart and attract a dedicated clientele. - **Intricate Craftsmanship:** Focusing on intricate craftsmanship can result in unique and awe-inspiring products that appeal to a niche market. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Artisanal Home Decor:** The artisanal home decor industry can capitalize on the demand for products that showcase artistic expertise and unique designs. - **Luxury Collectibles:** The luxury collectibles industry can cater to collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate intricate craftsmanship and unique design inspiration. - **Art Supplies and Tools:** The art supplies and tools industry can provide the necessary tools and materials for individuals to create their own intricate and artistic products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimalist Experimental Egg Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/experimental-egg-racks.md) - [Exclusive Luxury Jeweled Eggs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/exclusive-luxury-jeweled-eggs.md) - [Artfully Balanced Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/halfway-serious.md) - [Eco-Certified Eggshell Materials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecoshell-llc.md) - [Mixed Material Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/resin-dragon-egg-ornament.md) - [Egg-Shaped Meditation Timers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/donha-egg.md) - [Experimental Pottery Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gourd-project.md) - [Digital Archetype Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christian-rex-van-minnen-1.md) - [Stunning Origami Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-portaits.md)
