In fact, it could be a sort of throne as the sitter directs his or her minions in the search for chocolate eggs. Yet the [sophisticated seat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pk23-lounge-chair) is much more laid-back than luxurious. It forms a [rounded embrace](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/embrace-collection-1) that allows people to [curl up cozily into it](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-introvert-chair). Created for Pierantonio Bonacina as part of the label's Classics '60 Collection, EGG by Nanna Ditzel was originally designed in 1957. Available in saturated colours such as a deep plum or in natural toned wicker, the seat is meant to be suspended. It can use a special stand or the ceiling. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Suspended Seating:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a new line of suspended seating that combines comfort, style, and functionality. - **Rounded Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create rounded furniture pieces that provide a cozy and embracing experience for users, enhancing comfort and relaxation. - **Cozy Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design furniture with a focus on coziness, incorporating materials and shapes that create a warm and inviting ambiance. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate suspended seating designs into the furniture manufacturing industry to offer unique and unconventional seating options. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the use of rounded furniture and cozy design principles in interior design to create distinctive and comfortable spaces. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce rounded furniture and cozy design elements to the home decor industry, providing customers with products that promote relaxation and well-being. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tech-Infused Egg Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arne-jacobsen.md) - [Quirky Postmodern Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-ebba-armchair.md) - [Arched Circular Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eclipse-chair.md) - [Artfully Balanced Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/halfway-serious.md) - [Cozy Contemporary Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knoll-perron-bun.md) - [Peaceful Geometric Hanging Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iko-hanging-chair.md) - [Wooden Foundation Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-lounge.md) - [Bauhaus-Themed Contrasting Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocoon-sofa.md) - [Architectural Dynamic Vintage Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/egoist-chaise.md)
