Anyone who lives in a walk-up apartment certainly knows the feeling of climbing a mountain after a long day of work, but the new housing scheme proposed by Danish architecture studio [EFFEKT](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harmonikahusene) is meant to evoke mountainous regions more directly. The design consists of segmented apartment buildings with irregularly staggered roofs that make them look like the snowy peaks of a mountain range.

This [artificial, inhabitable mountain range](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-echo-villa) will be built in the Petrzalka borough of Bratislava, Slovakia. Contrary to its inspiration, the complex is slated to be built near farmland that surrounds the Donau river -- in other words, it will be the only significantly tall sight in an otherwise flat area. Such a status only adds to the effect EFFEKT is intent on achieving, since the occupants of the apartments will get stunning mountaintop views of the surrounding town.
