Designed by the same person who brought the deliciously colorful [Mr Smith the Second](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mr-smith-the-second) chair, these pieces are so sweetly colored they could give you a tooth ache with one glance. Designed by Anthony Hartley, the Edna 1 & Edna 3 [storage units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/center-center-storage) feature [rainbow-hued, undulating drawers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apt-drawers) that would bring a sense of fun and play to any home, no matter how originally dismal it might have been. The Edna 1 & Edna 3 cabinets will be shown at Tent London during the London Design Festival. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 39% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Colorful Furniture:** The use of bright colors and unique shapes in furniture design has the potential to disrupt traditional home decor. - **Playful Home Accessories:** Incorporating fun and whimsical home accessories can create a unique and personalized living space. - **Food-inspired Design:** Furniture and decor inspired by food can add a touch of humor and personality to any home. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** Home furniture designers can capitalize on the potential for vibrant color and playful design in their products. - **Home Decor:** Retailers and manufacturers of home decor can draw inspiration from food and other playful themes to create unique and memorable products. - **Interior Design Services:** Interior designers can incorporate colorful and playful furniture and decor elements to create custom, innovative living spaces for their clients. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Candy-Inspired Cylindrical Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/candy-table.md) - [Candy-Like Glossy Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luis-gimeno.md) - [Funky Colorful Storage Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorful-storage-units.md) - [Modular Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-storage-cabinet.md) - [Danish Pastry-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sweet-art-collection.md) - [Colorful Smart Storage Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linea-storage.md) - [Colorful Minimally Designed Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colour-cabinet.md) - [Whimsical Childlike Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-eternal-child.md) - [Modular Seating Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/candy-modular-seating.md)
