# Slanted Hillside Homes The Mobius 'Edge House' Puts a New Slant on Architecture By Rachel | Published 2009-06-03 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edge-house-mobius-architects References: [swipelife](http://swipelife.com/2009/06/02/edge-house-by-mobius-architects/#more-14477) & [mobiusarchitekci.pl](http://www.mobiusarchitekci.pl/) Mobius Architects wanted to build as close to the edge as possible. The '[Edge House](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magarigawa-club-clubhouse)' is their answer to that. Currently being built in Cracow, the 'Edge House' is an awkwardly steep and slanted design that mimics the elevation of the hill. I don't know what it would be like to stand inside the house, but the design is certainly unusual and creative. **Implications** - A huge part of customer experience is aesthetic appeal. Consumers are constantly looking for products that stimulate their eyes and this even applies to housing. Corporations looking to gain a competitive advantage over their competition should re-evaluate existing packaging and figure out new methods to sell an item in an inventive and visually pleasing manner. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 76% | Activity: 77% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Creative Architecture:** The 'Edge House' demonstrates a trend of unconventional and visually striking architectural designs. - **Aesthetic Appeal in Housing:** The slanted and unique design of the 'Edge House' highlights the growing demand for visually pleasing and innovative housing options. - **Customer Experience in Design:** The 'Edge House' exemplifies the importance of aesthetic appeal in providing a memorable customer experience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Real Estate:** The unique and visually striking design of the 'Edge House' opens up opportunities for innovative real estate developments. - **Architecture:** The unconventional design of the 'Edge House' creates new opportunities for architectural firms to push boundaries and create distinctive structures. - **Packaging Design:** The visually appealing and inventive design of the 'Edge House' suggests potential opportunities for creative packaging designs in various industries. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Faceted Cedar Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-house-on-a-hill.md) - [Sculptural Inverted Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-house-with-an-inverted-roof.md) - [Sustainable Dynamic Hilltop Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ro54.md) - [Stepped Hillside Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/b2a-architects.md) - [Mountaintop Cantilevered Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/levitae-house.md) - [Wooden Clad Jagged Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shed-architecture-and-design.md) - [Upward-Pitched Roof Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oneill-mcvoy-architects.md) - [Chic Curved Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curved-house1.md) - [Pyramid-Like Suburban Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oza-sabbeth-architects.md)
