We can fight harmful diseases, modify vegetation and livestock, enhance our own bodies through medication and now, make a computer in a vase. Taiwanese manufacturer ECS has designed and produced the Computer-in-a-Vase. The computer isn’t the laughingstock that it may seem to be. It features an Atom 230 processor, [NVIDIA](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sneaker-x) ION Graphics, 2.5-inch HDD, 1GB of RAM, HDMI output, and a Blu-ray drive. Just for kicks and a little bit of flash, the vase is made of real porcelain. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t impressed. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 58% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Computer Plant Pots:** The trend of integrating computers into everyday objects like plant pots gives an opportunity for lifestyle brands to create product lines that cater to automation-friendly customers. - **Tech-embedded Decorative Houseware:** The trend of embedding technology in housewares creates opportunities for innovation and disruption in traditional decorative houseware industries. - **Green Technology:** The Flower Pot PCs are an example of the emerging trend of green technology that can be applied to various industries embracing ecological sustainability initiatives. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Technology:** The technology industry can expand its product lines to offer more IoT devices with unique designs to cater to consumers looking for a more aesthetic and automated lifestyle. - **Home Goods:** The home goods industry has the opportunity to integrate modern technology with traditional decorative houseware to cater to modern consumers. - **Environmental Sustainability:** The Flower Pot PCs indicate how the tech industry can adapt to the growing concern for environmental sustainability initiatives, broadening the scope of work in industries like architecture and construction as well. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Performance-Boosted Mini PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liva-one-a300-mini-pc.md) - [Shoe-Shaped PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sneaker-x.md) - [High-Power Compact PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-ultracompact-pcs.md) - [Compact Fanless Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fanless-computers.md) - [Alien-Inspired PC Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aftershock-pc-case.md) - [Portable High-Power All-in-One PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allinone-mini-pc.md) - [Gaming Console-Inspired Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-windows-pc.md) - [Compact High-Performance PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/venus-un1265.md) - [Powerfully Efficient Mini PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-mini-pc.md)
