Designed by two brothers, Paul and David Loomes, the battery-powered vehicle was designed for use by police officers, security guards and staff of large facilities such as amusement parks or airports. While the transportation method is not capable of breakneck speeds, it can hit up to 25 mph, which makes it ideal for covering a large area faster than walking allows -- but not necessarily the best option for a high-speed chase. It can hold up to three [swappable batteries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/envo-flex-etrike) to allow for a days worth of riding and this [motorcycle-segway hybrid](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/segway-xafari) will certainly make long days of patrolling a little less strenuous. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 79% | Activity: 81% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Personal Electric Vehicles:** The rising trend of personal electric vehicles like the Ecospin Raptor presents an opportunity for other companies to develop their own efficient and eco-friendly transportation solutions. - **Three-wheeled Transport:** The increasing popularity of three-wheeled personal electric vehicles offers opportunities for companies to innovate and improve upon current designs, such as developing new battery technologies or incorporating more advanced safety features. - **Swappable Batteries:** Swappable battery technology, as seen in the Ecospin Raptor, is a growing trend in the electric vehicle market that presents potential opportunities for the development of more efficient and convenient battery solutions. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Security Services:** The Ecospin Raptor is ideal for security services and companies in the security industry where efficient and mobile transportation is crucial, presenting opportunities for other companies to develop similar vehicles tailored for the needs of the industry. - **Amusement Parks:** Amusement parks could benefit from the usage of personal electric vehicles like the Ecospin Raptor for staff and security patrols, presenting opportunities to develop customized vehicles tailored to meet the needs of the industry. - **Airports:** Airports could also benefit from the usage of personal electric vehicles like the Ecospin Raptor for staff and security patrols, presenting opportunities for other companies to develop customized vehicles tailored to meet the needs of the industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Speedily Sprinting Electric Scooters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-escooter.md) - [App-Enabled Electric Kickscooters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/appenabled-electric-kickscooters.md) - [Three-Wheel Electric Scooters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xoto-founder-edition.md) - [Supportive Three-Wheeled Electric Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xp-trike.md) - [Scooter-Cargo Bike Hybrids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/razor.md) - [Cargo-Carrying Electric Rickshaws](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-rickshaws.md) - [Triple-Wheeled Steel Electric Scooters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tltboard-gorilla.md) - [Enclosed Electric Tricycles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carver-electric-city-car.md) - [Futuristic Electric Tricycles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yamaha-tricera.md)
