# Sustainable Wooden Studios This Simple Spanish Cabin Boasts an Eco-Friendly Design By Katherine Pendrill | Published 2015-10-16 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecofriendly-design References: [uncrate](http://uncrate.com/stuff/wood-studio-house/) & [un.cr](http://un.cr/woodstudiohouse) The '[Wood Studio House](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cork-and-wood-house)' features an eco-friendly design that helps to minimize its environmental impact. While eco-friendly homes are becoming increasingly popular, many of these structures feature complex designs that do not blend into the natural environment. The Wood Studio House takes a simpler approach to the idea of sustainable architecture. The eco-friendly studio is located just north of Barcelona, Spain. The house itself sits on top of a slopping hill, which helps it blend into the natural environment. The structure runs on solar power and the water used is collected via rain tanks. The eco-friendly design is complemented by the simple decor, which consists of stark white floors and [natural timber walls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nature-pod). The home even boats an organic garden complete with a miniature beehive. The Wood Studio House demonstrates that [eco-friendly architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cabana) can be simple and elegant. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 94% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) > [Eco Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/ecoarchitecture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Sustainable Architecture:** The trend of eco-friendly and minimalist designs in architecture presents opportunities for businesses to develop innovative, sustainable housing solutions. - **Blend-into-nature Design:** The trend of designing structures that seamlessly blend into the natural environment provides opportunities for businesses to create eco-friendly homes that are visually appealing. - **Solar Power Integration:** The trend of incorporating solar power as the primary energy source in homes opens up opportunities for businesses to develop innovative solar-based technologies for residential use. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Green Building:** The green building industry can capitalize on the trend of sustainable architecture by developing materials and technologies that reduce environmental impact while maintaining aesthetic appeal. - **Renewable Energy:** The renewable energy industry can seize opportunities in the trend of solar power integration by developing cutting-edge solar panels and storage systems for residential use. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can tap into the trend of blend-into-nature design by creating furniture and decor that complements eco-friendly homes and enhances their natural aesthetics. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sustainable Cubic Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/appels-architekten.md) - [Rural Cork Block Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cork-and-wood-house.md) - [Countryside Woodland Cabin Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aralar-cottage.md) - [Simplistic Tranquil Garden Studios](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuinhuis-atelier.md) - [Dark-Green Minimal Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scalar-architecture.md) - [Off-Grid Forest Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-nest-cabin.md) - [Sustainable Country Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/three-oaks-farm.md) - [Plant-Based Cabin Constructions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cross-cabin.md) - [Miniature Seaside Wooden Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alexander-mcgee.md)
