# Eco Shower Air Conditioners The EcoCool System Deligates Two More Useful Uses for Used Water By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-09-07 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecocool-system References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2012/09/06/ecocool/) & [ardavanmir](http://www.ardavanmir.com/) The EcoCool System suggests a pair of uses for grey water. Both go hand-in-hand, yet one of them is remarkably inventive with respect to the more common schemes that engineers have proposed. The drain in the base of your bathroom shower collects all of the soiled and soapy liquid that passes from the faucet and down over your skin. It's collected into a 30-liter reservoir that's been equipped with a [ceramic depth filter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/showerhead-design). During the next phase, the slightly cleaner H2O is sent through a slender 15L water tank, installed about 2.5 meters above the floor. Here it begins to trickle down through an elaborate trellis of decorative tubular tiles. While being continually filtered in this framework, the water decreases in temperature and the lattice becomes a resourceful [air cooler](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soleus-air). The end of Ardavan Mirhosseini's process sees the EcoCool System supplying a planter of [interior vegetation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moss-humidifier-concept) with a drink. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 52% | Activity: 65% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Grey Water Reuse:** There is an opportunity for eco-friendly innovation in reusing grey water for creative purposes like interior plant care or other household tasks - **Sustainable Residential Systems:** There is potential for creating integrated systems that allow homeowners to be more mindful of their water usage and reduce their environmental impact - **Decorative Water Filtering:** Innovative designers can explore using decorative water filtration systems that can serve multiple purposes in the home, like air cooling and interior decoration ### Sectors Adopting This - **Green Home Products:** Companies can capitalize on the trend of consumers looking for eco-friendly home products by creating innovative systems that encourage sustainability in daily routines - **Smart Home Technology:** The integration of grey water systems with smart home technology can create opportunities for more efficient and sustainable water usage - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can explore incorporating functional and aesthetically pleasing water filtration systems into their designs, creating unique and sustainable living spaces ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Water-Saving Bathroom Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bergvattnet.md) - [Terracotta AC Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nave-air-conditioning-system.md) - [Water-Saving Shower Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alu.md) - [Evaporated Cooling System Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tony.md) - [Instantaneous Hot Water Showers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heau-shower.md) - [Pressure-Sensitive Shower Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-shower-concept.md) - [Ice-Filled Shower Heads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glacial-shower-shower-head.md) - [WiFi-Enabled Circular Showers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/circular-shower.md) - [Hive-Like Terracotta Cooling Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beehive-cooling-installation.md)
