The “Move Your Energy” armchair features a smart kinematic mechanism energized by the [swaying movement of its user](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sway-chair); this simple system is used to power the [integrated LED lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumen-chair) intended for reading. The power independent concept incorporates a simple arrangement of a dynamo and a flywheel disc. A sliding lever runs the flywheel, thus magnetically inducing current from the dynamo. The futuristic design of this [shell seating concept](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/low-battery-chair), though, is stunning by itself, boasting ample ergonomic curves, a stylish flexible lamp wire and silky aluminum components. Although an entertaining thought, it can be tricky swaying along while reading; maybe the LED lamp is actually intended to show your dizzy self the way to a rejuvenating shower. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 60% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Eco-powered Furniture:** The successful development of Eco-Powered Furniture will spark the design of more furniture that harnesses kinetic energy to power electronic devices. - **Kinetic Power Generation:** Kinetic Power Generation can be used as an alternative to traditional power sources by capturing kinetic energy from everyday movements. - **Smart Furniture Design:** The integration of Smart Furniture Design and technology can produce furniture that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also provide a sustainable solution for everyday needs. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture Manufacturers would benefit from incorporating new technology and sustainable practices into their designs for environmentally conscious consumers. - **Renewable Energy:** Kinetic Power Generation presents a disruptive innovation for the Renewable Energy industry to diversify sources of energy by harnessing kinetic energy. - **Smart Home:** Smart Furniture Design can be implemented in Smart Home systems to create an energy-efficient and sustainable home environment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modernized Rocking Chair Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nodding-chair.md) - [Energy-Producing Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ya18-stool.md) - [All-Direction Wobbling Rocking Chair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wobbling-rocking-chair.md) - [Breath-Responsive Recliners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aiora.md) - [Rotating Solar-Powered Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-solarpowered-bench-that-spins-ever-so-slowly.md) - [Industrial Light-Equipped Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hidden-light-chair.md) - [Dynamic Intelligent Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dynamic-spinecare.md) - [Powered Ergonomic Recliner Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zero-gravity-recliner.md) - [Dynamic Ergonomic Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/libernovo-omni.md)
