# Multifunctional Eco Urinals Men Can Pee and Wash at the Same Stand to Save Time and the Earth By Josh Milenthal | Published 2010-08-31 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eco-friendly-urinals References: [engadget](http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/27/eco-urinal-concept-saves-times-and-the-environment/) & [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2010/08/27/whoa-men-to-pee-and-wash-in-the-same-stand/) Designer Yeongwoo Kim has produced a concept for a urinal that will conceivably save both time and the environment by combining two functions performed by almost all men in a bathroom: peeing and washing hands. These eco-friendly urinals combine the sink and the urinal, with the water from the faucet being used to flush the urinal itself. I find it to be a great idea, with it promoting hygiene as well by putting the faucet right in front of you as your only way to flush. Eco-friendly urinals are a great way to help both people and our planet live healthier. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 75% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Eco-friendly Innovations:** The integration of eco-friendly features like combining a sink and urinal presents opportunities for sustainable solutions in various industries. - **Hygiene Enhancement:** Integrating handwashing functionality into urinals can revolutionize hygiene practices and offer possibilities for improved sanitation in public spaces. - **Efficient Space Utilization:** Designing multifunctional urinals creates opportunities for optimizing space, especially in areas where compact restrooms are required. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture & Construction:** Architects and construction firms can leverage eco-friendly urinal concepts to create sustainable and efficient restroom designs for various buildings. - **Public Facilities:** Public spaces such as airports, stadiums, and shopping malls can explore the implementation of multifunctional urinals to improve hygiene and space efficiency. - **Hygiene Product Manufacturing:** Manufacturers of bathroom fixtures and hygiene products have an opportunity to develop and produce integrated urinal-sink systems that promote convenience and sustainability. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Water-Saving Bathroom Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bergvattnet.md) - [Speedy Bathhouse Body Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/at-the-same-time-body-dryer.md) - [Enhanced Stylish Faucet Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/omnibath.md) - [Water Purifier Coffee Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coway-duo.md) - [Three-in-One Hygiene Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-hygiene-kit.md) - [Reusable Wet Wipe Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reusable-tissue-cleaner.md) - [Dual-Wand Bidet Toilet Seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bidet-toilet-seat1.md) - [Stand-Up Water Fountain Toothbrushes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Youseeuc.md) - [Outdoor Pee Funnel Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/save-a-tree-pee.md)
