Unlikely partners Teijin Limited, a leading chemical manufacturer in Japan, and luxury fashion fur company [Royal Chie Group](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/watershore-habitat), have teamed up for an unusual venture: Eco-friendly fur.

Using [closed-loop recycling](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/everpuff), which combines a [recycled fabric made from used polyester](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/patagonia-retrox-jacket) with chinchilla fur, designer Chie Imai has created four designs that combine fur and technology.

In addition to their eco-friendly fur fashions, Royal Chie also sells more traditional outerwear, including their reversible Mosaique de Chie line. The one I really, really want, however, is the Russian Marten Long Coat that is the last picture in the gallery. (Hear that, Santa?)
