So much for the belief that kids today have no hope. 12-year-old Max Wallack is singlehandedly trying to make everyone forget all those news stories about teen shootings and other bad media.

After hearing about a design contest, Max decided to build something to help people. The “[Home Dome](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blue-ocean-dome)” is a [homeless shelter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-makeshift-traveler-backpack) that has been constructed from [recycled packing popcorn, plastic and wire](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surf-block-maui). It is really inspiring to see that today's youth understands the needs of the future and realizes that being kind to others and recycling is beneficial for everyone.
